Grammy 2016 weekend was kicked off  by the Colgate Optic White Beauty Bar at Downtown LA's Hudson Loft where celebs and media were treated to a day of pampering.  Priv professional stylists provided all of our beauty needs with a selection of express services including hair-styling, manicures, massages and makeup touch-ups.  I got my hair done by Stephanie Crosby and makeup by Haley Fite who are a mother-daughter power duo. The beach waves and smokey eye were just what I needed to feel Grammy party ready...not mention it was also Valentine's Day weekend.The 4th annual Colgate Optic White Beauty Bar brought out celebrity appearances with AnnaLynne McCord, Ali Landry, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Shawn Booth, Blair Fowler, Audrina Patridge, and Blake Cooper Griffin. Guests enjoyed complimentary drinks by Lipton Sparkling Iced Tea as well as a few signature cocktails.  Quest was on scene with samples of their 4 top selling protein bar flavors and Essentia alkaline waters were provided to quench your thirst during the LA heat. Reps from Jouve were on hand to provided skincare treatments and VIPs left with a gift bag instant tightening & restoring serum and dark spot corrector & brightening cream. Vanderpump Rules reality stars Scheana Shay and Stassi Schroeder were on scene taking selfies with Essentia alkaline waters Instagram frame prob and showing off their pearly whites with  the event's hashtag #DesignerSmile . ARTIST KEHINDE WILEY UNVEILS HIS SWIZZ BEATZ PORTRAIT AT RECEPTION HOSTED BY KEVIN LILES

Grey Goose celebrated the launch of their new flavor Grey Le Melon on Friday June 27 at West Hollywood nightclub 1Oak on the famed Sunset Boulevard. Grey Goose partnered up with artist Kehinde Wiley to create the “Modern Kings of Culture” series. The cocktail reception was followed by a Q&A moderated by KWL Enterprises CEOKevin Liles between Kehinde Wiley and Swizz Beatz.

Russell Simmons, Terrence Jenkins, Lauren London, Drumma Boy, Ty Dolla $ign, Sebastian Mikael, Legendary Damon, Bizzy Crook and Amber Rose all came out to support cultural King, Swizz Beatz and the unveiling of his custom portrait by Wiley. The Q&A began with Swizz Beatz taking the time to thank Grey Goose for giving back to art “allowing him to spread his craft on a global level,” whilst continuing to give recognition to black music month. When Wiley was asked how important art is to our culture, he responded, “art is everything.”

Beatz defined art as “my drug. Art is the reason why I can produce endless music … art is music, fashion. business. Everything is art.” When Wiley was asked to describe her journey, he responded, “anything you do well takes a lot of work … I’m not someone who replicates, I’m someone who creates culture.”

As we approached the climax of the night, the unveiling of the portrait, Beatz expressed admiration for Wiley. He said “In life there is power. Some people have it and some abuse it. This painting is about this king right here,” as he pointed to Wiley and then Liles dropped the curtain, unveiling the custom portrait of honoree Swiss Beatz and his extraordinary path to achievement represented by Wiley’s “signature style of fusing history and style in a unique and contemporary manner.”

Beatz showed his appreciation and gratitude for being one of the selected individuals in Wiley’s series before getting in the DJ booth and getting the party started. The night continued with open bar and upstairs was roped off for VIP access. Guests continue to enjoy drinks by Grey Goose and the evening ended in special appearances by Trey Songz, Chris Brown, and Bow Wow who took the stage for their VIP table and kicked off BET weekend as the club DJ played their latest singles to a packed house.

L.A. REID, JERMAINE DUPRI, P. DIDDY PRESENT USHER WITH THE ASCAP GOLDEN NOTE AWARD →

The 26th annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, held on Thursday, June 27, honored Usher and Kendrick Lamar for their musical achievements. The red carpet started around 7p.m. with some of music’s top artists, writers and producers which included Michelle Williams, MC Lyte, Tyrese, Ne-Yo, Jermaine Dupri, Andre Merritt and Jarrell Perry just to name a few.

The award Ceremony began around 9pm with the honorees hitting the stage to accept their awards for writing and production some of 2012’s top singles. Hip-Hop great, Dr Dre, hit the stage to present Kendrick Lamar with ASCAP’s Vanguard Award, while giving the young artist praise for his achievements over the last year. Kendrick, wearing a red hoodie and jeans, took the stage to accept and pose with the award.

Next, L.A. Reid came out to share his story of the potential he saw in Usher at avery early age.  When speaking of the artist’s early days, he shared a story of the time Usher used is charm with ladies when kissing the leg of a women who was 15 years his senior. Reid continued to joke how this would be a pre-cursor to Usher’s adult years. The audience laughed. Reid continued to discuss Usher’s journey and his introduction to mega-producer, Jermaine Dupri. JD hit the stage with DJ equipment in tow, headphone on, and began to play some of Usher’s top singles from his early days to current hits while the big screen displayed photos of the artist as a toddler growing up in the industry and becoming a sex symbol. Dupri played for quite some time – as he joked that he could go on forever playing Usher’s hits, but he got the audience hyped as he introduced the next surprise guest, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Diddy also shared his stories of meeting the Usher earlier in his career when Reid insisted he take the young boy under his wing, while introducting him to the New York lifestyle of emerging artists. While discussing the “big brother” role he played in Usher’s life, he explained he was a young man himself and at that time women were on the forefront. This was a segway into his apology to Usher’s mother who thought her young son was in good hands when in reality, Diddy took ownership for showing the teenager the lifestyle that goes hand in hand with “bad boys” in NYC.

After intimate details of his rise to fame shared by 3 of is mentors, Usher was presented with ASCAP’s Golden Note Award. Acknowledging that Kendrick was not able to give an acceptance speech, Usher took to the podium to thank his mentors and peers for everything they have done for him personally and professionally. His sincere gratitude was shown toward his mother for sticking with him through his publicized hardships these last several years. The night ended with a standing ovation for the award winner and the guests finished their glassed of bubble and cheered to an excited evening.

LUXE RODEO DRIVE HOTEL HOSTS MENU PREVIEW →

The legendary Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel held a special media preview of Luxe Hotels' new signature dish, the Luxe Guittard Chocolate Soufflé, at the restaurant and bar on June 5, 2014. The event brought out top clients, members of the Beverly Hills Chambers Committee and Luxe Hotels' generals managers from the City Center, Rodeo Drive, and Sunset Boulevard locations.  I was immediately welcomed by Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel general Manager, Marcus Mueller, who led me to the hotel bar to enjoy cocktail hour. I had the pleasure of meeting Executive Chef, David O. Padilla, who was warm and welcoming as well as he prepared appetizers to warm up our taste buds for the debut of the new dessert. I enjoyed cocktails while engaging with Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Commissioner, Dr. Sharona Nazarian and the beautiful general manager of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, Amy Commans.

We enjoyed appetizers such as the margherita and mushroom flatbread before sitting down for the unveiling of the new signature dish. I had the pleasure of dining in between the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel Directory of Sales, Jody Katz, who was ravishing in red, and Special Events Manager, Michelle Sharp. As we shared the "Canned" themed new dish, Michelle shared with me "the Rodeo Drive Penthouse and Terrace is the only special event space open to the general public to host a special event. The space can accommodate up to 200 people max and can be used for more intimate celebrations." I got to see the rooftop venue for myself which was beautiful with views of Rodeo Drive and City Hall that are great for any occasion whether it be a baby shower, bar/mat mitzvah, business function or special event like Father’s day. They are open for breakfast, lunch, social hour and dinner so if you are just visiting or a local resident like me, I highly recommend paying the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel a visit for a cocktail, meal or dessert like their new signature dish, the Luxe Guittard Chocolate Soufflé or renting their space for your next private event.

In celebration of red carpet style and the upcoming Academy Awards, the stars came out in full force at QVC's 5th Annual Red Carpet Style party at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons and Examiner.com was on the scene yesterday on Feb. 28. Not even pouring rain could stop people from coming out and getting their party on. Tents were set up to keep the guests dry as celebrities like "2 Broke Girls" star Kat Dennings, "Real Housewives of Orange County" Gretchen Rossi and Miami housewife Joanna Krupa, and fashion experts Jeannie Mai and George Kotsiopoulos walked the red carpet leading into the outdoor party.

Actress in the Oscar nominated film, "12 Years a Slave," Sarah Paulson was overheard saying how excited she was to be a part of a nominated film; but would not reveal anything about her Oscar Day dress except that it is "form fitting". Kate Mara arrived at the same time as Jenna Dewan-Tatum and the two were inseparable the whole night. Jaime King was spotted hanging with Kaley Cuoco and the two were seen having a great time at the event despite the rainy weather.

Kat Dennings was overheard saying, "This is on all day at my house, I love QVC!" The newly engaged Whitney Port chatted with Nick Cannon and Jenna Dewan-Tatum on the Red Carpet before heading into the star studded event. Stacy Keibler came to support friend and Elle Creative Director, Joe Zee who was launching his very first QVC Line: Styled by Joe Zee.

Jenna Fischer came to support friend, stylist, and QVC Designer Jen Rade, who was launching new pieces from her collection last night. Fischer joked, "My mom and I buy each other gifts from 'The Q' all the time, that's what we call it because you can always expect Quality from QVC!"

Attendees mixed and mingled as servers made their way through the crowd with wine and hors d'oeuvre such as salmon and steak tartare and passion fruit tarts. Guests enjoyed taking photos and posting them with the #QVCredcarpet as the images automatically uploaded to the TV screens set up in the venue. Gift bags were handed out upon exiting the hotel which included a portable charger and QVC candle.

Bella Thorne, Noah Cyrus and more attend boohoo’s Collection Preview Tea Party

Just off the brand launch on the East Coast, the high street online fashion retailer and starlets Bella Thorne, Noah Cyrus, Jaylen Baron, Ryan Newman, Jade Ramsey and Fiona Gubbelmann celebrated the boohoo’s Collection Preview Tea Partyevent in LA, yesterday. The "neon wonderland event" was held at Beverly Hills Housewife, Lisa Vanderpump's, West Hollywood lounge, Sur.

The event called all fashionistas to a modern day tea party filled with decadent desserts and colorful cocktails. The UK fashion line showcased its new collection throughout the lounge with clothing on rolling racks and accessories mixed in as center pieces on the dessert table next to the tea cups and saucers.

The event brought out a younger crowd but these ladies were dressed to impressed. Disney darling, Bella Thorne from "Shake It Up" arrived with a few of her closest girlfriends to preview the summer 2013 collection. She wore a blue Boohoo dress with midriff cutout as she posed with another familiar face, Noah Cyrus, Disney's "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus' kid sister.

Attendees were informed they could post pictures on their instagram account and if they captioned "#boohooteaparty", their photos would instantly print on the Printsmatic booth on site so they could take home their Instagram photos to enjoy. This inspired the fashionistas to get creative and pose with props such as a telephone headset or cupcakes frosted to represent the flag of England. Overall, the event was a modern day tea party where girls got dolled up in colorful and printed dresses, put on their pearls and heels, and came to enjoy sweets.

Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Pharrell & more rock KIIS FM's Jingle Ball 2014 →

LA's Staples Center was home to KIIS FM's 2014 Jingle Ball powered by Line on Friday, Dec. 5. The annual holiday concert was the biggest one to date with a start studded lineup. Taylor Swift kicked off the show in a black sparkling crop top and matching swing skirt. "I have laryngitis and will need your help singing tonight ... let me hear you scream," she told the crowd as she began her set with "Blank Space." She pushed through her sickness to a roaring crowd who had no trouble single along to hits like "I Knew You Were Trouble “and "Love Story." "I would like you to know that this had been my favorite year of my entire life and I turn 25 next year and it was a nice early birthday present," Swift explained, showing gratitude for her Grammy nods as she closed her set with "Shake It Off."

LA Native, Becky G, took to the stage next in a red crop top and plaid shirt tied at her waist performing her hit "Shower" followed by Kiesza in a shiny red bralette. The "Hideaway" singer broke out some dance moves taking us back to the early 90's as she closed with her new single, "Over Myself." After that, Pharrell appeared with dancers in red Adidas jumpsuits. He started with "Drop It Like It's Hot" before introducing surprise guest, Gwen Stefani who wore a black sparkle jumpsuit, to perform their current single together "Spark the Fire." The 3-time grammy nominee continued with "Get Lucky" and invited his young fans to the stage for his finale "Happy."

Nick Jonas looked sleek in all black opening his set with "Chains." He then invited his longtime friend Demi Lavato, to the stage, who was also wearing black leather. She joined him for "Avalanche" and closed with a new rendition of his current single from his solo album, "Jealous." Charli XCX performed her hit "Boom Clap" and new single "Break The Rules," followed by Rixton who worked through technical difficulties closing their set with their single "Me and My Broken Heart." YouTube sensation Shawn Mendes took the stage followed by Rita Ora and a surprise performance by Ed Sheeran. He explained he was just added to the line-up earlier in the day, but was pleased to be there to share his new song "Thinking Out Loud."

"All About That Bass" singer Meghan Trainor also performed her new single "Lips Are Moving" before making way for Australian hip-hop sensation, Iggy Azalea. The tall blonde showed off her curves in a white fishnet crop top over a grey sports bra and hip hugging black pants. Rita Ora was invited back to the stage for their hit "Black Widow" followed by "Beg For It," "Work" and her smash single "Fancy." Ariana Grande was channeling her inner sexy Santa's helper in a red sequin bra top and matching high waisted shorts with white pumps. She started with a Christmas song and was joined by boyfriend, Big Sean, for their hit "Right There." There was no lack of PDA as the duo showed affection for one another and closed their song with a kiss.

Big Sean then went backstage to watch her perform her current singles "Break Free" and "Love Me Harder" with The Weeknd. Grande and Jessie J joined forces for their summer hit "Bang Bang" and Ariana showcased her rapping skills singing along to the Nicki Minaj verse of the sing. Sam Smith was pleased to announce his six Grammy nods as he performed "Latch" and "Stay With Me." Australian boy band, 5 Seconds of Summer closed out the show to a screaming frenzy of young girls who waited four hours for the boys to take the stage. The festive concert was an amazing way to kick off the holidays.

The Colgate Optic White Beauty Bar sponsored by Rowenta and Priv was held at the Selma House in LA on Friday January 9 and Saturday January 10. The 2-day event took place inside WeHo’s trendy Chateau Marmont in celebration of the Golden Globes.

Guests were invited to come enjoy beauty services and cocktails as they prepped for this weekend’s parties. Priv, a beauty services app, was one of the sponsors providing services across the board from massages, to hair, make-up and nails. I enjoyed an express massage from Niall Carney, one of the massage therapists on scene before heading over to the make-up station where Chelsea Hillman got me golden globes ready with a sultry smokey eye and bronzed glow.

Next up was hair at The Rowenta station where Kristen tousled my curls into a casual up-do. Brand manager of Rowenta, Kim Chaveco, shared with me that the leading household appliance company has made a deal with Lifetime’s hit show “Project Runway” to come out with Project Runway themed appliances to cater to every fashionista’s needs from garment steamers to irons. Kim walked me through the line of hair tools that Rowenta has created from their blow dryer to flat iron with built in curling iron, to name a few. Not only is Rowenta carried at all major department and convenience stores, but they have made a deal with Sephora and will be launching the sale of their hair tools line with the beauty chain later this summer.

For some hydration, I visited the ladies at Rove. The mobile lifestyle brand was showcasing 2 of their products: an on-the go bottle where you can put the fruit of your choice to create spa water or a thermos that can keep your drink hot or cold up to 8 hours. I met with the COO of Naturade who gave me a taste of the Vegan protein shakes that comes in variety of flavors like chocolate and vanilla. Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co. was handing out popsicles made with only 3 ingredients: “fruit, water, and a touch organic can sugar”. They had a handful of flavors and the light sugar boost seemed to be a hit with event go-ers on this LA rainy day.

I had a chat with co-owner of Tuleste, Satu Greenburg, who shared that she started with company with sister, Celeste, and combined their names to form the jewelry company. The jewelry line had a colorful display of rings and bangles with a range of colors and sizes and girls thoroughly enjoyed picking out their free accessory. To showcase your hair, nails, and make-up done you could take your glam shots with the props of your choice at the GC Photo Booth where Scoot was more than happy to snap your pic. Guests were invited to use #brilliantstyle when posting party pics to their social media and left with a gift bag of goodies from Colgate Optic White, nail products and a $20 credit for services booked through the beauty app, Priv.

FALL OUT BOY SCREENS ‘THE YOUNG BLOOD CHRONICLES’ FEATURING CAMEOS BY 2 CHAINZ, BIG SEAN, ELTON JOHN & COURTNEY LOVE →

On May 14, Fall Out Boy hosted a special screening of their film “The Young Blood Chronicles,” which was shown for the first time in its entirety. 

The event was held at Hollywood’s ArcLight Cinemas. Guests enjoyed an hour of open bar courtesy of tour sponsor Jägermeister, while mingling with the band before the screening began. When asked to describe the movie, bassist Pete Wentz said, “It’s like a mix of Star Wars and Jackass…but not really.”

The movie was a 47 minute film composed of multiple scenarios in which the band are cut and beaten by sexy women in black leather. There were also many fun cameos. 2 Chainz played the villain in the “Light Em Up” video, while Big Sean appeared in “Mighty Fall”.

“It’s Courtney bitch!” was the opening line to “Ratatat” featuring Courtney Love. Elton John plays God and looked sharp in an all white suit, but you won’t believe what happens next.  Tune in to the grand finale of “Save Rock and Roll: The Young Blood Chronicles,” on Palladia on May 21 at 9pm EST.

IGGY AZALEA, ARIANA GRANDE, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, SHAKIRA, B.O.B ROCK KIIS FM’S WANGO TANGO 2014 →

Some of the biggest names in music gathered for KIIS FM’s Wango Tango 2014 at the StubHub Center in California yesterday on May 10, 2014. 

The all-day event began in the morning with the Wango Tango village that was open to the public to enjoy free games and prizes and even a Ferris wheel overlooking the arena. The day long concert began with R5 as the opening act. The boys wanted to shed their Disney image appearing on stage with an edgier punk rock look. They warmed up the stage for the official concert performance by OneRepublic who started their with their hit “Apologize” followed by “Secrets,” “Good Life”, their current single “Counting Stars” and ending with “If I Lose Myself.”

Next up was A great Big World who introduced Christina Aguilera to the stage. She wore a black fitting dress showing off her baby bump and explaining her breathlessness was from sprinting to the stage. The pregnant pop star performed her duet of the popular ballad “Say Something” ending the set.

Next up was B.o.B. with “Airplanes” followed by Ariana Grande in a black and white crop top, mini skirt and now infamous thigh high go-go boots. The young songstress performed a few of her hits before introducing Iggy Azalea to the stage for their smash “One Less Problem.” Next up Iggy performed her own single featuring Charli XCX “Fancy” which got the crowd hyped and singing along. Maroon 5 was next with lead singer Adam Levine rocking his new bleach blonde locks. The rocker sported a striped t-shirt showing off his tattooed sleeves as they performed “Stereo Hearts” with a shout out to Travie McCoy, “Moves like Jagger” without Christina joining the stage ending with Levine in an electric guitar solo. Before performing “Payphone,” Levine reminisced on the band’s 2004 Wango Tango performance joking “Half of you guys weren’t even alive. So welcome.”

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, got the crowed waving their glow sticks to “Feel so close,” “I Need Your Love” and “Sweet Nothing” followed by Paramore with “Ain’t It fun?” and “Still Into You” and  DJ Zedd’s “Clarity.” Columbian superstar, Shakira, rocked out exposing her bejeweled bra under a shredded tee with “Can’t Remember To Forget You,” current single “Empire” and “Hips Don’t Lie”. Ed Sheeran was next in a red flannel shirt and his acoustic guitar in hand. He performed “A Team” and his brand new single “Sing” off of his “X” album.

EDM legend DJ Tiesto closed out the show to a sea of glow sticks raised by a jumping crowd dancing to the DJ’s remix of John Legend’s current single “All Of Me,” “Escape Me,” and “Red Lights.” Wango Tango was another epic event and we can’t wait for next year.

Some of the biggest names in music gathered for KIIS FM’s Wango Tango 2014 at the StubHub Center in California yesterday on May 10, 2014. 

The all-day event began in the morning with the Wango Tango village that was open to the public to enjoy free games and prizes and even a Ferris wheel overlooking the arena. The day long concert began with R5 as the opening act. The boys wanted to shed their Disney image appearing on stage with an edgier punk rock look. They warmed up the stage for the official concert performance by OneRepublic who started their with their hit “Apologize” followed by “Secrets,” “Good Life”, their current single “Counting Stars” and ending with “If I Lose Myself.”

RECAP: NICKI MINAJ, SNOOP DOGG, BIRDMAN JOIN DRAKE AT HIS “WOULD YOU LIKE A TOUR?” L.A. SHOW →

On Monday, November 25, The Staples Center in L.A. was the place to be. Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Birdman were a few of the heavy hitters who joined Drake on stage at his latest “Would You Like a Tour?” concert event.

Future opened up the evening festivities followed by Miguel who made all the ladies swoon with his charm and smooth demeanor. Jhené Aiko also took the stage last night. Soon after, Drake hit the stage and did not hold back.

The Toronto native performed solo before introducing his first special guest, none other than Birdman, who performed “Still Fly.” Fans were in for a big surprise when Nicki Minaj joined Drake on stage for “Make Me Proud,” followed by an appearance from West Coast legend Snoop Dogg, who turned it up for L.A. with “The Next Episode,” “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”. Drake expressed his appreciation for his newly found mentor. Other highlights from the show included Drakes performances of “Successful,” “Wu-Tang Forever,” “Come Thru,” and “Worst Behavior.”

Throughout the show Drake continued to express how good it was to be back in his second home and the feeling was mutual as the crowd was yelling and cheering for the rapper, as his closed the show with “Started From the Bottom.”

Sighting: New BFF’s Khloe Kardashian and Nicki Minaj were seen out and about together last night at Philippe in Beverly Hills, following the Drake concert.  Scott Disick joined Nicki and Khloe alongside a large entourage for dinner where they were seated in one of the private dining rooms and indulged on signature dishes such as the salt & pepper prawns, chicken satays and vegetable spring rolls. The newfound friendship was apparent as the two, who share the same celebrity makeup artist, Joyce Bonelli who was also with the group, were seen leaving the restaurant together hand-in-hand before getting in separate cars and calling it a night.

SNOOP LION MAKES SURPRISE APPEARANCE AT SPECIAL ‘TURBO’ EVENT AT THE E3 GAMING CONVENTION →

Yesterday, in celebration of its latest animated film “Turbo” out July 17, DreamWorks and 20th Century Fox threw a “Turbo-charged Party” and surprise pop-up concert at Nokia Theater L.A. Live for the E3 Gaming convention.

The animated movie’s stars, Michelle Rodriguez and Michael Pena posed for photos on the red carpet and the event featured a special surprise performance by Snoop Lion who is in the film and on its soundtrack. Michelle looked like a rock star in her leather motorcycle jacket and aviator shades on that hot sunny day in Downtown L.A.

Both stars hit the stage to greet their fans before walking the red carpet for interviews. Shortly after, they returned to the stage once again to introduce the surprise performance by none other than their movie co-star Snoop Lion, who was rocking a red adidas jump suit. He performed his original song “Let The Bass Go” from the movie’s soundtrack followed by two of his major hits, “The Next Episode” and “Drop it Like It’s Hot” while his scantily clad female dancers supported him on stage. There were tricked out TURBO taco trucks giving out “Turbo” themed tacos and chips, a Power 106 booth giving out CDs, and a gaming booth sponsored by Verizon, which featured a virtual GT racing simulator and the TURBO Racing League video game . This event was  perfect for gaming lovers and fans of animated films who enjoy hip-hop music.
